The Old Testament

I'm taking a break from studying for my Old Testament exam to just write on the blog. I met some of the NOPD this evening. Don't worry, I wasn't doing anything to get arrested for. They just came to my training to talk about sexual assault. Now, I know that I am a very naive person. But, let me just say that that point was reiterated tonight when the detective kept using words that I had no idea what they meant while everyone else did. Obviously, the fact that I learned what a lesbian was three months ago should give people some hint at my naivete. So, I just nodded my head, and made a mental list of words that I need to look up for future reference. At least there wasn't a pop quiz on definitions.

Yesterday, I had a blast from the past with my former youth minister and former BCM director. I very randomly ran into Linda O. on campus yesterday. As the new national BCM director, she now gets to travel pretty regularly to give talks to insignificant seminary students like myself on how great it is to be in ministry or something like that. Then I had my weekly chat with John S. who is also on campus taking classes.

I just want to take this time to say Happy 50'th birthday to my mom whose birthday was on Sunday and I couldn't be there for it because I'm a bad daughter and I had to work the day before. I also want to say Happy Birthday to Jessica whose birthday is sometime in the 20's of March, but I always forget the day. So Happy Birthday.

What words were you having to look up?
